The Clay D'Angkor pays homage to the ancient Khmer tradition of using clay to make kilns, water storage containers and pans for cooking. Many Cambodians believe rice prepared in a traditional clay pan provides a better taste than that prepared in an electronic rice cooker. Clay houses are also used to store rice until it is ready to be cooked or sold. And clay was even used in Angkorian times to help create the channels and embankments providing the water supply for the ancient Kingdom.
